Oh wow that looks great. Almost too good to be true. Can't wait to hear some first hand reviews on that.

Really simple question: if this is so good, why aren't manufacturers doing this as part of their build?

Idk much about the product how did you find an installer? I don't want to be the first person to get this done either lol

Good question, I don't have an answer but a while back I went to an auto show where Land Rover had a Defender prototype on display and they claimed that the paint on the car would never get dirty

This is what my google search turned up but I didn't really find a way to purchase or locate an installer in the US. You can fill out a form to be contacted. http://ceramic-pro.com

The one thing I have seen, and have on my m3, is escalating degrees of clearcoat resulting in more and more orange peel. My clearcoat layer is VERY thick, and extra clearcoat is a well known and proven way to increase paint protection and durability - at the expense of some clarity/purity of reflection.

Ok so this helped a lot: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=472649
I called them and they were able to answer a lot of my questions: (408) 564-5181 I was also quoted $980 for 1 layer of the premium coating said it would take 3 days to install

I just goggled it an states in the area. I saw it in Prague and was talking to an installer there when I was doing EU delivery. An was going to get it done, I guess its more common in Europe vs the states. But was advised that it wouldn't pass inspection due to it not being factory by BMW so didn't do it on the cheap in Prague. I found a place in Albany NY, Toronto, Ohio and PA that do the installs. |

If this is similar to Opti Coat pro, then I don't think it would prevent chips. From what I've read, coating such as Opti Coat (don't know if Ceramic Pro is similar) is more for the shine, and a clear bra is needed to prevent chips.

The more coats the more protective. The car in the video has the maximum of 8 coats
