PROcede v1.48
Hey, Shiv, just wondering what's going on with v1.48?
I have a friend who may not want to upgrade to v2 and he's happy with v1.4, but if v1.48 is coming out soon, I'd let him know about it. Any updates on the release of v1.48? And can you post what exactly is being changed (improvements made over v1.47)? Thanks P.S. btw, with the new firmware I just downloaded for the final map of v2.0.2 can I use that firmware to upload v1.47 or v1.48 into my friends car? |

v1.48 will come out soon after we catch up with all v2 orders (in approx 3-4 weeks). I'm testing the map right now. As well as o2 sim feature. And v2.0.3 as well. Busy busy. shiv |

Great, thanks.
So do I have to download v1 firmware to update his map to v1.48 for him when it comes out, and then reinstall v2 firmware again? If so, can you post a link from your site where I can get the v1 firmware too. Thanks Shiv. |

The only firmware on the site (available for download) is v2. Once you update to v2, you can't go back to v1 without sending the unit back to us. At this time at least. I don't expect to release any new v1 firmware. Just new maps.

How can he update from v1.4 to v1.48 then (he doesn't have a PC lap top and isn't a computer guy at all either)? |

Your friend Procede with the V1.4 already has his firmware installed on his Procede...All you need to do is upload the new map for him...No need to update his firmware because its already loaded and ready for only V1 maps...Each Procede unit stores a firmware...Yours now has the Firmware of V2 and his no matter what still retains V1....So when V1.48 comes out, all you have to do is load the new map up to his Procede unit...

Sweet, so when I hook my serial cable up to his I can just download v1.48 to my PROcede User Software and upload it to his PROcede?
And the fact I'm running the v2 firmware in my PROcede User Software won't affect uploading a v1 map to his PROcede? And then if I hook my serial cable back up to my PROcede, it won't muck anything up with my settings or firmware or anything? Thanks again guys. |

Exactly....use your laptop get the 1.48 map from Vishnu site and download to laptop...Go to your friends car and and get online with his Procede, then find the V1.48 map and press LOAD and its done...After that delete the 1.48 file from your laptop so you won't make a mistake and accidentally load the map into your CAR!!!! Done.

For what its worth, i can't understand why your friend would not want the upgrade...i know he loves his V1.47, but the V2.02 12-19 map is ten times better than V1.47...I couldn't have said that with the other V2.02 maps, but this new map rocks..Try convincing him dude, he's making a mistake for only 150 dollars man...Penny smart, dollar stupid!!!

But I'll talk to him again soon. I just put the extra v2 PROcede I bought for him up for sale. If someone else buys it, then he'll have to order another, if/when he changes his mind and wants v2 I love my v2 as well, but I also liked v1.47 a lot. Some people actually like the big hit of boost that v1.47 gives, instead of a more smooth power delivery of v2. And if v1.48 gives 5-10 more hp than v1.47 like Shiv said, too be honest it won't be too far off v2 power levels at that point anyway, except in the 5500-7000 rpm range. |
