Updated: Dinan Flash 331 whp and 366 lbs/tq
Drum Roll Please!!!!!
I got the Dinan Flash this morning. Everything went as planned with the software load, no issues whatsoever. I love how the car feels now, full of power with breakneck acceleration. I can now chirp the tires in 3rd! My Setup: Bone Stock, 6mt May 2007 build 19 inch M6 Wheels w/ Generals I tested the Dinan Flash on a Mustang Dyno that has been used by other members on this board. I asked for “uncorrected” numbers. We ran 3 runs on the Mustang Dyno with two VERY small fans (definitely not 80mph fans Dinan used for their runs). The temperature in the garage ranged from 87-88 degrees with high humidity (80%+ as it had just rained). The first run was low, but the last two runs were pretty consistent. It seemed the ECU was learning and providing more and more power. Sunoco gas 93 octane 1st Run, 310 rwhp and 357 lbs tq 2nd Run, 330 rwhp and 356 lbs tq 3rd Run, 331 rwhp and 366 lbs tq I’m attaching the last run graph, Comparison 3 run chart now attached I noticed the car runs a bit hotter, but I still did not crack the 250 degree mark which is great considering how hot it was today. The harder I drove the more the car gave back to me. It was as if she was begging me to drive her harder and harder (obligatory porn reference). I think the ECU takes a bit to adjust to the new software. Throttle response is amazing to say the least and top end acceleration is unreal! The car begs to be kept above 4k rpm and you can chirp all day in 3rd gear. The power is smooth as butter thru to redline. No CELS and No Limp Mode. My girlfriend got a headache from the constant whiplash! I couldn’t help myself, but she is a trooper. Let’s keep this a “no limp zone”. I think the other options on the market are good, but the Dinan Flash was the right choice for me. Let’s not get into procede, JB, Xede debate. I don’t care if “if it was hotter the day I got my dyno run” or a Dynojet would give a different result. What I care about is a car that has usable power when needed and fire for the occasional joy ride. Mom always said patience is a virtue and in this case waiting for the “expensive” Dinan tune paid dividends for me and yes it is F@$King expensive but you got to pay to play!

Wow!
Very impressive especially for a mustang dyno. That torque curve looks pretty flat also for a software upgrade. Congrats on the new purchase!

It took a while for dyno results!! They look pretty good. If I had an oil cooler, it may be a consideration but $4-5K for the package is too much. Congrats!!!

Really glad you are happy with your choice. That's all that matters. Thanks for posting your dyno

Congrats, the curves really look good. Dinan should really pay you back some $ for spending the effort to do the dyno runs. You just sold another 20 reflash software right here after your posting

Thanks I was weary from the drive, I looked at my scans and I don't think the AFR was measured as it defaulted to 22.
I have no baseline dyno figures, some people just can't be satisfied

I'm curious about these Mustang Dyno's. Do they have a lot of factors that affect them? I do know they make a difference with air, temp, etc but the question that people have to ask is, are these numbers accurate or will they change drastically from one place to another.
I did a mustang dyno of my car running V2 procede and came up with 285WHP 324WTq And before I get bashed, i dyno-ed my car today with Orb (Dinan Flash) and my car was about 19WHP more and 9WTq more on the Dynojet. Just curious how this translates to the Mustang Dyno. BTW, Did the Mustang Dyno after the Dynojet same day about 3.5hrs later so temp and air was roughly the same. Food for thought. |

22:1 is obviousely a mistake. If he were running that lean on a dyno, the motor would have never been able to do a second pull.At that rpm running that lean on a dyno(high rpm,s) i think his pistons would have melted.
