Performance Parts

I was given unofficial listing of Performance Parts available in Q3 2014 for M3 and M4 as follows:-

Carbon Fibre Front Splitters - £560 + 45mins
Front Splitter Lower Trim - £346 + 10mins
F82 Carbon Fibre Rear Spoiler - £405 + 30mins
F80 Carbon Fibre Rear Spoiler - £370 + 60mins
Carbon Fibre Diffuser - £910 + 15mins
Side Sill Trims - £316 + 60mins
Carbon Fibre Door Mirror Covers - £642 + 30mins
Side Sill Decals - £114 + 45mins
Carbon Fibre Tailpipe Finishers - tbc + 15mins
Titanium Tailpipe Finishers - tbc + 15mins
Steering wheel 2 with display £1,324 + 90mins
Steering wheel 2 without display £760 + 30mins
Carbon Fibre Gear Selector - £214 + 20mins

I've gone with Carbon front splitter, black grill, carbon rear diffuser and carbon tail pipe finishers on a MW M3 - just waiting for dealer to confirm if he can do a deal on the parts!!!

I think the electronic steering wheel would be awesome but with HUD it seems redundant.

Do they do an alacantara wheel with all the right buttons for the M without the display on the rim which seems pretty naff to me, and a duplication of the HUD which is a better idea.

Were they able to get the tail pipe finishers? Or were they only for the MPE? I have them on my order too and wasn't sure if they'd fit on the stock exhaust.

Is be interested in the carbon DCT surround and gear shifter to match. 15% off would be good. Which dealer do you recommend?

Tailpipe finishers were not available for M3 and I was lead to believe that they would only fit the performance exhaust. When I questioned them on this they came across as clueless as I said if you have a titanium performance exhaust and the tips only fit this exhaust who would want to put titanium exhaust finishers onto an already titanium exhaust!!! Maybe my logic is flawed.

I found this. When a company has a chance to make even more money off something, logic goes out the window.

The Finishers are an aesthetic add on as the pipes that come out of the titanium backbox are quite small in comparison. The finishers are only for the MPE and wont fit on a standard exhaust.

on the knob and trim - no - but I would actually recommend you get them to do it. I thought I'd hosed the cable connecting the DCT light matrix or the matrix itself and was looking at a 700UKP fix! for probably 60UKP labour.

it doesn't look like a difficult job and it isn't, but its also really easy to cock it up. luckily for me the next day when i started the car the light matrix started working ok.

the trim is trivial to install, just need a soft prying tool.
