I know pillpusher84 installed a newer version of the modules (HD + iDrive control) and has airplay mirroring functioning on his car; I believe its called APCast + IW06B but unfortunately he is banned from the forum and can't post it...

This is where apcast can be purchased indiwork.co.kr. I am also interested in Kivic One as it is less expensive and seems to do airplay which is all I want.

Wether APCast or Kivic One you still need an interface module to tap into the screen feed i.e. HB30 or IW06B which is the newer version from Indiworks and they are expensive considering the limited functionality (you can switch between iDrive and Iw06B using the controller but you won't be able to control the iPhone).

Send them an email. They were extremely helpful when I talked to them (the speak pretty good English) and will ship to the U.S.

I was wondering if anyone has tried a Kivic One with their M3.

I was using it with my S4 and it worked well. It sets up a wifi station in your car and you can wirelessly stream Pandora and Spotify from your phone. Now our cars have music streaming but its in compressed form, but Kivic streams lossless uncompressed so sound quality is better.

But I am not too worried about music stream but rather Airplay. Kivic allows airplay mirroring so you can see whatever is on your phone on NAV screen if the car has a sophisticated entertainment/NAV system and you can connect into it. I had a B8 S4 and it was too old so I couldn't airplay mirror but the newer B8.5 Audi allows true mirroring with the Kivic. I could only stream music from my phone.

So Im wondering has anyone tried a Kivic with the M3/4 and does airplay mirroring work with this car. I would love to use Waze on my phone and show it on NAV screen. I am not getting my M4 for few weeks so I cant test it now.

But what Im really asking is this, can you do airplay mirroring with Kivic without having to buy another AV integration unit???

@mact3333 , it seems the only way to plug into our HU-NBT is to use a multimedia interface like posted above. I don't think there's a direct video input that you can tap or connect to...
