I'm sure they screwed it up, most shops don't know how to dyno an auto. See if they can email you the .drf files, or what I always do is bring a USB key to bring the files home with me. I'm curious what your numbers look like in STD.

I'm going to try and hit the dyno again today...my numbers were lower on the Hotpill and 93 octane. I think I made 330 rwhp on the R switch w/ 96 Oct. I left my dyno graphs in Blakes toolbox! I have to go back today to get one of the Mustangs tuned on Nitrous. Should be interesting.

I'm just wondering if all the filter swapping with open and closed air box lid fudged the numbers.
You should of just swapped the filters and left the lid closed on all the runs. The ECU was probably so confused with the amount of air coming in from having the lid on, then off, then put back on. It doesn't make sense that your highest run would be with the stock filter and the lid on. And it be significantly higher than the first runs with the lid on, and even higher than the runs with the lid off, and measurably more torque too. I personally think your ECU was drunk by the last run. |

Bring a USB key and copy your .drf dyno files to it so I can check out the runs! |

Very interesting dynos...thanks. Now I know why I just ordered the BMC Air Filter to replace my ITG Air Filter. Or maybe I should just put my oem stock paper air filter back in? Ha ha.
btw -- congrats...those dyno numbers are very decent; similar to the PROcede v1.47 with a little less RWTQ.

Stock filter for now. I am definitely not saying the ITG filter doesn't perform well, but just since the recent dyno's I'm going to stick with the stock and maybe even try out the BMC filter.

Great numbers!! Car looks real strong. On the filter issue, it seems to me the only meaningfull measure would be flow accross the filter fitted in a stock box simulator. I know streamline did this type testing so at least you knew the product flowed with less restriction than the stock filter. Whether or not that lead to measurable gains would be unclear. Gains or losses are so small that they overlap the standard deviation normally seen from run to run. I believe one member ran at the track with the stock filter and then with no filter and the trap speeds were unchanged
On an aside, Terry, is it possible to come up with a way to run the H serially with the R switch so that it would only be on when the switch was on, or would that require making a different R switch with the extra .5 PSI boost? |

If you do this test again, do it with all the filters, but always have the lid on. |

Exactly I'm wondering if I can just plug it into one of the wires upstream from the switch and wham! another half PSI boost next time I go to Irwindale.

I did about 332 rwhp and 366 rwtq on v1.47 with the stock air filter and lid closed, but on a slightly lower octane (92) and with my 2nd cats still in place. With the K&N drop in it was 336 rwhp and 368 rwtq. But I agree with Terry, had he been in STD mode, he probably would of seen around 332-334 rwhp and 355-358 rwtq. |
