335i xdrive 2009 feels weird today
Hello all i'm pretty new here just signed up this week
today driving to work my car feels weird i dont know if its just a turbo lag but i feel it more in 3RD GEAR and i noticed also the fan is always on i mean i know its on and off but today even when i park the car it stays on could it be HPFP? there's no error codes, i have JB4 i switched it back to stock for now from map 5 any suggestion/advice will be greatly appreciated. car has almost 60k mil. |

Loud auxiliary-ish sounding fan?
If so, congratulations! You're water pump has failed! Welcome to the club brother I'd get that fixed sooner, rather than later if I were you. When mine failed, I would also get intermittent power loss to the car while driving. I'd be on the highway, hit the throttle, and the car would not respond at all for ~5 seconds. Sketchy. Not sure if it was related, but I haven't had that issue since they warrantied my water pump. |

If it just started, I'm sure you'll be fine.
I'm not entirely sure how much a new pump costs, but I'd imagine somewhere between $400-$600. That's without labor. Sorry for the bad news man |

Ummm if your water pump has failed I wouldn't be driving it at ALL! You effectively have no engine cooling!!!

When my water pump went it would intermittently work and get the car at decent temps until I would travel over 20 miles, then it would just stop working. Sounds like that is likely your problem. Don't plan on taking any long trips until you get it fixed! Mine went at 58k.

Sounds like waterpump but FYI this is N55 section. Your car is N54.
It doesnt matter really but you are new so thought I would let you know.
