Jb4 Issue, Car Won't Start

Hi Everyone,

Hopefully someone can help me out on this. Ive been running a JB4 with EWG harness and no flex fuel wires for about 2 months with no issues. I just found out that if your running the EWG you should also have the flex fuel wires going. So last night I had them installed and the car ran grey last night even did some logs and all was fine. This morning I go to start the car and it cranks but won't turn over. Plug in the computer and it can't find the JB4. Anyone know what this could be? Im kind of freaking out here...

Re - check all your wired connections on the JB4. When splicing in wires they can lose contact when heat is added and removed if connections are not tight enough.

Sounds like a loose fuel pressure wire. Better email in some photos to BMS' technical support if you can't find it.

Emailed Jon earlier. I worked with a friend this morning seemed like the reason it wouldn't start was an issue with the can wires which are now fixed but I'm not getting no boost. Ill continue to check later on tonight.

Whats weird is after the instal last night it started fine and drove well. Issue is that I'm not seeing any communication to the computer from the JB4 for some reason and the car is giving the engine reduced power warning which I think is related to a bad reading form the JB... not sure.

Your best bet is to work with BMS' technical support. They will likely request photos of the recent work. If you just installed the flex fuel wires, and the next day have a problem, the flex fuel wire photos are going to be a good starting point. If you had a shop do the work for you then just take it back to them and let them figure out what was done wrong with the FF install.

In my experience asking for technical support on a forum like this is just going to lead you on many wild goose chases, waste your time, and frustrate you. Don't waste your time. Let the professionals help you sort it out.

Once you get everything installed correctly im sure your logs will look "Normal" for an EWG car !

The support team over there is great and very responsive. Seems to be an issue with the harness itself. Jb4 is fine. Tried it on another car with another harness. So I'll be sending it over to burger to have it check d out.
