What is the best method to protect against jean dye transfer on leather seats? Also general care of the leather seats?

It's actually the better quality jeans that will bleed. Especially the real dark colored ones. I would say wash them before you wear them. That's what I do and it reduces it exponentially.

If you have leather, the only way you'll transfer dye, is if the garment is freshly dyed.
Otherwise, the leather is already dyed itself and won't absorb dry rub.

Just wash your jeans after you buy them...

I used some armor all leather wipes on my CR interior, and it was able to get rid of the bit of indigio transfer I had. I'd say a wipe down with your favorite leather cleaner every week to two weeks should be good, unless you're wearing something extra raw/dry that transfers constantly, then I'd think every couple of days.

According to my CA the best option is,

Don't buy oyster seats. When I was considering options for my order the first thing he did was walked over to the showroom X5 w/ oyster and opened the door. Been there 30 days and was stained blue from all the people sitting in it. Nuff Said.

Anybody tried Leather Master Leather Barrier?
http://www.autogeek.net/leather-master-barrier.html
http://www.leatherworldtech.com/Leat...ier-p/lmlb.htm
I just called Leather Masters and they said works well against many types of stains including jeans. Apply 2 - 4 times a year and be careful not to over apply. It is silicone and if you over apply, could leave a white haze. Apply by putting liquid onto a microfiber sponge. Do not allow to puddle, just put on a thin coat. For me, he said OK to use on red.
