Blown underseat woofer? Wiring clarification

Hi,

it seems that my passenger side subwoofer is dead and I just hope it wasn't me who did it.

Starting point was a 2011 E91 with base stereo, Business HU. It was replaced with a Professional HU with built-in USB/Bluetooth. Works perfect.

Then I replaced the front speakers with Helix Match component sets which are advertised as plug an play, but even their own manual says to cut the original speaker connector...
Anyway, it works and sounds much better, but this was the first time when I put the balance total left or right and noticed that I didn't have bass on the right side. Left channel is OK.

Now I don't know if it was like that before or it was something that I did and killed the sub. I mean it was only connecting two cables.

- Could I have screwed it up? How?
The car is still under warranty and If I take it back to the dealer I don't want to go into an argument whether it was me or not.
- Am I correct that the underseat/door speakers parallel connected and the split is at the under seat subwoofer connector? This would indicate that cabling is OK, it is clearly a dead subwoofer.

My long term plan is to upgrade everything, but meanwhile if it is under warranty I want to replace it.

Btw, how can I pause/stop or mute music on the professional HU?

To the OP .. There isn't much you could have done 'wrong' if you only did speakers and were only in the door. If still under warranty, I would suggest having the speaker checked.
Or if you feel confident to check the connections, they are easy - pull up the door sill and seat, remove the grill and check the driver that you believe is not playing.

Finally I had time, but I am not happy: there is no subwoofer under the passenger seat, only a dummy.

I know, but I wanna find out why this car had only 5 speakers, when it was advertised with 6 speakers. I should have checked if there's wire going there or it's missing too, but I was pissed.
