A few hours, and yes, you should get an appt. Make sure they have the right drain plug before you go in.

Thanks Greg. One more Q: how long did break in service take for you? Was it around 2 hours or longer?

Mine took three days because they didn't have the seal for the differential drain plug. None at the other dealer in town or the dealers 50 miles away. So yes, you need an appointment and make sure they have all the parts needed. Otherwise should be a few hours.

Same for me, dropped off Monday at 8:30am and picked up Wednesday at 4:30pm! Only had 1 extra mile on the clock! Got the best service advisor!

Because 98.5% of dealers do not know how to wash a car without introducing swirls and marring. If someone, like me, spends 8+ hours polishing and sealing the car, there is no way on earth the dealer will be washing it with their poor technique, dirty water, wash mitts used on 10 cars that day, etc, etc.

Don't forget the brush on paint technique that I witnessed a dealership the other day using. It's was the long handled wheel brush being used to apply and scrub the painted surface of cars!!! Not even a soft fabric brush, which would have sucked anyway...
I cant believe that dealerships risk ruining the paint job on $100k cars knowingly!!

Just had mine done. It was just shy of 2 hours and the SA was even observant enough to notice how clean the car was and asked if I wanted to forgo the wash.

My dealer has a drive thru car wash out back. Not sure it it's touch-less or not. I guess color plays a big part in what your eyes pick up or not. I wish I could commit to washing and detailing by hand like I did when I was younger and had more time on my hands.

I always let them wash it. It's white. What can go wrong?

An hour and a half, and for the love of god check the tire pressures after it or at least tell me if you fuck them up.
