AA Xede R7 and AA catback Dyno 319whp/357wtq

Decided to take my car to the dyno for the first time. Unfortunately the dyno didnt have a boost reader so i couldnt get that. I had just updated to the R7 map the day before ..not sure how long it takes the ecu to adapt. I can say that the R7 map is ALOT better than the previous versions. You can tell by the third run that she was starting to get heak soaked and hp starting dropping up high.

NOTE: Throw out Run #2 as that was a 3rd gear run vs. 4th gear runs for the other to.....just wanted to see the difference.

Dyno:
Dynojet

Car:
07 335i 6mt

Gas: 91
Conditions: ~75*. dyno was inside and not next to fresh air.

Mods:
AA xede w/ R7 map
AA catback
AA bov

A big thanks to MAPerfomance in Plymouth, MN for the great dyno experience. The guys handled everything flawlessly and customer service was A+.

Justin

yeah i was a little disappointed with the HP number...but i do agree that the intake temps probably have something to do with it.

same thing happened to me, it took me 2 hrs of driving to get to the dyno. 326/350 with a catback and 1.47, temps were in the 90s and engine temp was @ 249-250. catback was only 4 days old though. not to mention you are running 91, if i remember correctly is a 10whp difference form 93, not sure though, but it does account for something.

Numbers seem low regardless of 91 Octane.
The temp was not too bad.
People keep talking about adaptation time, but the truth of the matter is, that in the many dynos I've done on these 335i's, that 90-95% of the "adaptability" takes place nearly instantly and only gains a bit more power over the next 50+ miles of driving.

319 rwhp on a 6MT car with Catback exhaust on 91 Octane (with AA Xede R7 tune....if that tune is similiar to boost output of the PROcede v1.47) seems low for a dynojet on STD settings and smoothing at 5.

I've been on MAP's dyno before and thought it read a little bit low.

You also have an octane / timing issue in around 5000 rpm. If you look at your blue trace you can see it's running richer above 5300 rpm (and making less power) than the other 2 runs. I would guess you had some knock and timing was pulled and fuel added to compensate.

4 Season's gas bar sells 100 octane and is about 5 minutes north from MAP. Throw in a few gallons next time and see how you do.

Cheers.

Any reason why you are running 91 octane? There are plenty of gas stations selling 92 octane, and at least one that sells 93 octane in the metro area.

With my 335i Coupe 6AT on 92 Octane 19" wheels all else stock on v1.47 PROcede (low 60's temps)

331 rwhp
366 rwtq

On my 335i Sedan 6AT, on 91 Octane, 19" wheels, all else stock on v1.40 PROcede (in mid 70's temps):

313 rwhp
358 rwtq

I'd think the OP's numbers should be 20+ rwhp and 10+ rwtq higher with a catback exhaust and 6MT transmission, unless the AA Xede doesn't quite have the power of the v1.47 PROcede (which could be the case, but I thought they were similiar)

people need to stop posting their useless dyno numbers with their other mods. DIFFERENT DYNO DIFFERENT DAY. I've seen AA xede/catback/ and BOV equiped 335is dyno at 355whp. What matters is the baseline (stock)dyno to modded dyno horsepower/torque difference

MAYBE a custom tune, and or downpipes... only v2 has hit that kinda hp on just piggyback and catback...

really? and you have what evidence/and or data to back this up? head down to active autowerk they have plenty of dynos you can take a look at. Active catback adds 18whp on average over their Xede.

What I think he was talking about is independant dynos not the ones from the tuners own shop.
I also have not see a 355 rwhp dyno on a AA Xede with just catback exhaust either.

I too think that's a bit high, but if there is a customers car that has those kinds of power numbers with just an AA Xede and catback exhaust, that was dynoed on a dyno that's not the one AA uses/has I'd love to see them.
