Resetting the red brake service light after brake replacement

So I just recently replaced the rear rotors, pads, and the sensor. The problem I am having now is that the red brake service light will not reset. I did read up and did the whole process of getting into the system reset but all I got was ".........." for the miles. I have a JB4 in the car so I did put it to 0. I even tried connecting it to the laptop to clear and that didn't work either....

I am left with the following options and which a friend of mine suggested (who is a bmw tech):

Option A - take out the JB4 and then try to reset everything, we thinking that the jb4 might be interfering.

Option B - Even tho the front brakes are not bad, maybe replacing the front sensor also and then reset???

Does anyone have any recommendations?? I even tried to clear it via the JB4 but that didn't work
