Procede to SSTT.... will I be disappointed?

So I'm selling my Procede V2.... reasons why you ask? Never really get a chance to use that much power, tired of installing and reinstalling, need money for furniture, little nervous messing with ECU cause I leased, etc. It's in perfect condtion and up for sale in the Marketplace section by the way.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100934

So anyway, I was going to just leave it stock and live with it even though it does kinda feel slow now....... BUT I just got a bigger bonus this year than I was expecting and I started reading up on the SSTT. The install and uninstall seems so easy and the power gains seem pretty decent.

So the question is after kinda being to the Procede V2 will the SSTT add enough power to make it worth the price? Has anybody else on here had both? Some people say it adds 40-50 hp and torque which ain't bad, but some dynos show more like 25-30. If it was a little cheaper I would try it for sure, but at $600 I'm just not sure if it's worth it or not.

From my readings... I would get Terry's JB1 instead of a turbo tuner.

one of the reasons hes selling his procede is because he is tired of installing and uninstalling so i doubt this would be the route for him to go since the installation is identical to procede....

turbo tuner is definately the bang for your buck. installation process is very easy. its not as powerful as the procede but it's still better then stock i can tell you that . i say go for it

I've had both...and you get what you paid for. TT offers about 30whp and PROcede V2 about 75whp. So yes, the difference is big.

get the SSTT and if you don't like it, there's a 14 return day policy.

IMHO disappointment depends entirely on expectations. It will be less fast than the Procede car, but faster than stock.

There is NO product on the market that offers this ease of install/removal. I just took mine out because the car is going in for service tomorrow morning. It took me <1 minute and required no tools. Plus you don't mess with the factory wiring harness so there is less chance of getting "caught."

This is kinda what I was thinking. Does SSTT actually adjust A/F or does it rely on ECU to make the corrections? Tech info on SSTT actually does seems pretty limited.

The ECU makes the adjustments ... the additional boost still fits into the parameters of the ECU.

Get one. I had PRO and the same thing, tired of grabbing an 8mm socket. If I hit this car stock now it is disappointing. SSTT is what it is. Semi affordable and easy to remove/replace. Remember to put your car to "sleep" when replacing the unit if you get one. There was one for less than 400 in the FOR SALE section earlier.

Yeah, the procede was great, but it's almost too much power for the RFT's with no LSD. Since I lease I can't really mod ... otherwise I would keep the procede and get an LSD. I would keep the car, but after seeing the new M3 I want one! So a TT might not be too bad.... it could give me enough juice to keep me happy for a couple more years till my lease ends.

I looked at JB1/JB2 also because the price just can't be beat, but again it requires digging in the ECU.

I personally like the SSTT. I sold my Procede and went with the SSTT and never regretted it for a moment. There are some great used deals on the SSTT in the MarketPlace section.

As for putting down the power.. My 335xi with automatic, SSTT and all season tires ran a 12.9...

That's very respectable IMHO.

I have to agree with White here. So long as you don't go into the TT expecting it to feel like the ProCede I think you will be very happy. Too bad about the connection pain or I'd say give the JB2 a try before the TT since you're going to be in the ECU compartment anyway.... I'm looking forward to trying the JB2. Terry also has a money back guarantee.

Yeah, the JB2 seems to be a pretty good tune. Kinda funny a few months back hardly anybody took Terry seriously...... now he's one of the most popular tuners on here. Gotta give props to him...... sounds like good smooth power with not too many problems reported.

I think line 3 is SSTT + Supersprint exhaust. Line 4 is SSTT + SS exhaust + RPi IC.
