So I changed the oil on my e90 and put in 6.5 qts of oil and when I checked the level through the dash it said "OK" but it seems like it's not enough oil?

It's normal, it takes just shy of 7qt. You can wait until it says +1qt, and then just do that: add 1 qt. Or you can add .5qt today. Either way you'll be fine.

Do not try to top-off according to the bar-graph, it is not very accurate and it is slow to update, so just add .5qt and not more, or you will overfill.

It's 6.5 LITERS, not quarts. That's 6.87 quarts.

adrlan, I just did a oil change last week 6.5 and showed full. Other times i've done 6.5 and showed half way which I just added .5 and ready to go.
