The best tires anybody has launched on???

I was looking at the Mickey Thompson website and it looks like the stickiest tire that is fitting on our cars (with big brakes) is an ET street radial.

Yes, I know a 335 is not a drag racer by an means but i'd like to take my car to the strip next summer and i'd like to see what type of e.t. it would turn on decent tires. I'd like to get some ugly 17" wheels and some tires for the strip.

Lastly, has anybody had any issues launching on these types of tires? (driveshaft, axels, etc.) Thanks.

I have a set of 26x11x17 ET streets in the garage on Kosei K1s. I only tried them once and it was bog city, but now that I have the downpipes they might help at tracks that have less than optimal traction. You really need a ton of low end torque to use them, and they kill your MPH, but traction is great.

get a pair of Nitto or BFG drag radials and you will be fine.I used the Nittos on my 01 Camaro SS and loved them. Before i ate the tread pattern to a slick, they were even good in the rain.
