Tune Developers: Latest BMW progman vs your tunes

Piggyback Tune Developers:

Read recently that latest Progman changes ecu behavior. How does that impact our piggybacks:

Procede 1.4x?
Procede 2.x?
Juiceboxes?
Helix?
etc.

I'm up for progman update this week...running Procede v2.0.2 mt.

Good question. If it's worth to update the ECU I would do.

No issues with the JB1 or JB2, although R users have reported a 20 second CEL if they leave the switch on overnight. The fix right now is to turn the switch off when you're done for the night.

Terry gets 100 scores because he was the only tune developer answering the question

Thank you.

I aim to please. The main headache with these updates is BMW is making the plausibility tests tighter and tighter. I'm not sure if its meant to give aftermarket guys a hard time, or if there are serious concerns in the engine they want to head off earlier. Probably the latter.

Currently running 27.2 and V2.02 so far no issues (Did just put it back in on Sunday and driving in rush hour doesn't really give the chance for a lot of WOT time).

Did you remove your proceed before they did the update?

That's basically what my SA told me too. Thanks.

They have no serious concerns. They do this once a year to incorporate their latest changes. And make you ECU flashes mad this way.

the latest dme updtae has to do with part throttle and emmissions. There have been a few posts on this site where people(stock and piggyback) were experiencing a surging at very low throttle inputs and low rpms. One of our 6 speed testers was experiencing this but since the latest BMW flash it has gone away completely .

My friend started having limp mode issues after a possible software update (he dropped his car for service). He's on V1.47 and gets it right when he hits the rev limiter on 3rg gear 100mph. I would wait a litle longer to get an update. Atleast until there is confirmation on what really the update does to piggyback's.

my car is horrible with the partial throttle surging crap... it still "bucks" even while its cold... I think I am still on the original september of 2006 progman version

I start out in second gear pretty much all the time just because of it

Maybe its time to go in for an update

Mine was surging similar to that a few months back, don't remember which Progman update fixed it but I haven't had the problem in a while.

Rumour is it seems to have resolved some low speed "pulling away" issues with Uk cars.
