Front licence holder options

I'm not a fan of the arcane Ontario law requiring front license plates.
That being said, I came across this
http://www.skene.org/bmw/plate/
and wondered if anyone here had any experience?

I'd be interested in doing a group buy to save on shipping.

I haven't seen a live M3 with front plate yet. How is it attached--do they drill into the front bumper?

I've been running no front plate since I got the car 2 weeks ago. I purchased the Pedal Haus Quick Release Tow Hook Plate Kit from EAS however it interferes with PDC. So I just purchased the US Mills Tow Hook Plate Kit specific for the M4. I have read good reviews on it so I think it should work well.

I have this exact plate system sitting next to me right now and will be mounted on my car when I get delivery end of the week. I will post pics once I have it!

I was never really a fan of the offset plates...so I went with the Skene on my 335. Will def do the same when I get the M3

Don't know.
My F80 doesn't come until end Aug I'm told.
But in contact with Tony at Skene Design, he's not 100% sure which model of his bracket would properly clear our bumper and fit. Based on what he has seen, he thinks it is the one with the short bracket, but I'm weary of ordering and then finding out it's the wrong one.

I was going to see if I could somehow get close to an F80 in person and measure the clearance under the bumper.

just heard back from Tony:

Mike,

I spoke to someone who has the new M3 and the medium or the short bracket would be appropriate for your car.

Based on the pix here:
http://www.skenedesign.com/FPBracket/Choose.shtml

I think the medium bracket might work.
Anybody who have an F80 able to verify by looking at this pic and gauging the amount of clearance under the bumper?

you could probably get this measured at your dealer as they have M3's in stock

which dealer did you buy from?

My car is being PDI'ed right now, but I got a chance to visit it and they had the bracket put on. It looks like this without the plate on:

I have been running without plates for 1.5 months, driving by cops almost on a daily basis.
