anything else control gong volume?

Never turned the amp gain up, and head unit's volume is -5 for gongs, but it's still disproportionately loud especially when my music volume is lower.

I was looking for this too. from what i read/found, either use dsp or LOC to lower the volume(it lowers everything). Or code the gong out..

I'm on base stereo with Technic's 2/4 harness into the amp. (Feeds from under the seats... No head unit removal)

Amp really doesn't have a gain per se. If I wanted, I could flip the dip switch for a +2 gain.

You need to code if you want it lower.

Blah... Fine... Guess I'll look into that.

Does the coding process control volume? Or simply on/off?

I think coding would be on/off. Btw, i saw your jehnert doorboard thread, i think helix dd 82dsp has the option (dip switches) to lower your gain..(negative gain). That should lower everything.

There are two things you can do:

1) code entire radio to HiFi (may require dealer visit depending on MY)
2) code gong volume to HiFi - I don't know specifics on this but can be done in NCSexpert, although may not be possible depending on MY (some radio are locked out of coding).

Thanks taibanl! Didn't know #2 was possible!

I'm not certain yet if I want to code the entire radio to HiFi. Since at the moment, I'm using the speaker outputs for this Jehnert Door Board, and I'm having a bear of a time as it is setting EQs/Alignment/etc.
