Have you picked yours up yet? (Any day now, right?)

Very interested in your review. You went through existential angst in June (my words, not yours ) and I wanna know what the car-in-flesh has been like for you....genuinely interested man.

Daily driving use you your easy listening settings, but keep your thumb over the M1 button. Make that into your rock n' roll switch. M2, jam a fully loaded clip up in there.

You can glide, dance or unload on those mofos.

Your option.

It's been a month since I dropped mine off in Europe, but I really enjoyed having Sport steering, Sport/Efficient throttle depending on mood, and Comfort mode on the suspension. Obviously that could change depending on driving situation, but that was the most enjoyable for me for daily driving.

Sport plus throttle is too addictive to not use everyday. The car just doesn't feel the same in sport or efficient.

The car just feels like a NA 6 cylinder in efficient. Do the turbos even work in efficient?

Thanks to all who has voted.

Surprising throttle result so far. On my E90 M3 I preferred the least aggressive setting for throttle. I liked the added dynamic range with better ability modulate throttle input.

But then maybe not since the aggressive settings enables the "anti-turbo lag" function.

I personally like driving with everything on Eco mode. Comfort and efficient mode so when I do switch to sport+ everything it feels like a new car. That's how I have my M1 and M2 buttons set.

Sport + steering and throttle for me all the time . I want the car to feel at it's best every time I drive it and for me that means using these settings. If I'm on a long trip with my family in the car and traffic is bad I sometimes use efficient but not very often.

Totally depends on what basis you are driving...commuting to work? Carving up a canyon? Track day? Each would have different 'optimal' setting IMO...

I believe his question in the first post states "daily driving".

Sorry to hijack, but a quick question; re sound, does the exhaust open up only in Sport+ or in Sport too? Also, how many trans speeds are the, 3 for S and 3 for D?

I generally leave the steering in Sport, it works well everywhere. Sport+ is too heavy for the street. I could see how some may prefer comfort, especially in city driving.

For the suspension I generally leave that in sport as well. I switch to comfort if the road is really crappy, but it's too soft for more spirited driving. I don't really use Sport+, it's quite firm and the roads around NYC are terrible.

For the throttle I use efficient in traffic and for regular driving. I switch to Sport+ for any type of spirited driving. The throttle response in Sport+ is just amazingly sharp, I absolutely love it. I don't really use Sport much. The only point I see for Sport is if you want sharper throttle AND you want rev matching...

When will you get your car?

The exhaust opens up in sport and sport+, although to my ears it sounds even more aggressive in Sport+. The sound in efficient is certainly the most distinct. Not sure about your 2nd question as I've never driven the DCT

The exact same for me.

I don't see a need for the suspension to be anymore aggressive than comfort for daily driving. Even if I throw the car into a corner hard it won't lean since the dynamic suspension will adapt to that.

No middle ground for me. M1 everything is sport + and M2 all comfort/efficient.

Like to keep the car Jekyll and Hyde like.

I don't like sport plus at all for anything. The steering feel is best in comfort and the throttle in sport. All that sport plus does is make the steering unnaturally stiff and half of the throttle pedal throw useless. The car is not faster with the throttle setting in sport plus, it just doesn't make sense to use it. If you want to be able to precisely control the throttle don't use sport plus. Full throttle produces the same HP in sport or sport +. They are just tricking you into thinking it's faster by changing the mapping of throttle pedal, so basically 20% throttle pedal is 50% throttle.
