Useless information!
Doing some research on a school I attended outside Estoril half a century ago. Apparently the name Estoril is from the Portuguese for sterile as the land was useless for farming. So the correct name in English for the BMW colour should surely be Sterile Blue.
While on the topic, the only blue is Estoril was the sea and surely the sea is blue everywhere in the sunshine so why not Benidorm Blue or Southend Blue? |

Maybe it's just because BMW have a tradition of naming their MSport blues after motor racing circuits?
Le Man blue Estoril blue Monaco blue Yas Marina blue Laguna Seca blue

On the topic of useless information and BMW blue...
A common misconception is that the BMW logo was originally designed to represent a propeller with the white and blue quadrants signifying motion against a blue sky. Not true. It wasn’t based on a propeller at all, that interpretation came later. The blue and white was based on the Bavarian flag.

Thanks for asking, yes really loving it. Its night and day in every regard vs my prior F10 520D
Size Speed Economy Agility Fun Never been stopped in car parks much by car before but in the time I've had it I'm getting a lot of asks. The M Performance kit throws people a bit...unless you're a true internet car forum junkie No regrets so far, I think it was the sensible choice to not go M4. I still get defensive over the M4 as most of you may have noticed, I think for the money its off the chart performance! Back onto colours there's an Interlagos Blue too.
