Hey guys, first off I've done plenty of research, and I'm not a electronics guy by any means. So if you are posting to bitch at me to search, then please don't. I'm looking for straightforward answers.

I have a e90 2009 335i, with Hi-fi sound system.
-once before my sound suddenly all disappeared (radio, iPod, pdc, seatbelt gong...complete silence) I just reset my battery and it solved the situation.

....however after a rainstorm, it happened again, and I go to find some moisture in my amp area, I have a feeling I shorted out my amp due to a f*cking leak from my trunk somewhere
-I'm not sure where the fuse exactly is, but I checked most in the glove compartment.

I would rather buy an amp on ebay and be done with it, can i just buy any logic 7 amp and plug and play? Or is it more complicated than that...

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...65&fg=25&hl=17

Or a aftermarket plug and play amp that I can just replace with my stock amp, like I said, I know nothing about car electronics and I'm looking for some help.

Let me know if you need any other information.

Thanks

In your case, skip adding front speakers?

Get with Technic to purchase that harness.

Added pics of the amplifier

seems like a decent amount of corrosion.

Same type as in...there's plenty of factors I was made aware of, such chassis, year, model of amp.

Matching the amp number is the direct route.

Matching the amp part number is the direct route.
The Logic 7 amp for the 3 Series has the same specs
from 06 to 09 I believe that's what you said you had right?
You could also look on RealOEM for a part no if you can't
read the one off the broken amp you have.

Also FYI the part no's are in the following link

http://www.bmwgm5.com/Logic7.htm

The amp you were showing in the your pictures is logic 7
and not Hi Fi . Logic 7 is also called Top Hi Fi Dsp but its
way different than Hi Fi.

So basically I can find 06-09 L7 amp and plug and play?

I would read that list and find the exact part no

I would read that list and find the exact part no for your model year
as long as you get a good one and nothing else is damaged you should
just be able to plug it in . That's pretty much all I have to say.
It looks like 09 is a different part no. although there is no reports of
a change for that year.

I had my car diagnosed. The problem is that there is a trunk seal that is bulged and is the cause of the leak. I am quoted 1855.34 to fix it. However i am getting it reimbursed from the shop that did not seal my trunk correctly. They are going to write me a check.

My question is, can i order the amplifier online (new OEM) and bring it into the dealership to have it installed, or will they refuse?
