F30 trunk spoiler on my F22

I had a couple guys PM me earlier in the month asking if I had any idea if the bmw performance F30 spoiler would fit on the F22. Today I picked up a replica carbon fiber performance spoiler form a local vendor and proceeded to installing it.

Started by removing the OEM painted spoiler which took about 10 min total with a bit of fishing line, rubbing compound and a high speed buffer. I used 3M double stick tape to install the new spoiler.

Overall the F30 spoiler fit pretty good for being a replica piece. I'm thinking that maybe a polyurethane replica spoiler would fit a bit tighter as it's going to be flexible unlike my carbon fiber one. Don't plan on keeping this trunk spoiler on for long as I'll be custom molded Wald trunk spoiler onto my original trunk.

Got it for free. A local vendor wanted me to try this out as nobody has really done this before.

Wow so the F30 spoiler fits on the F22 huh. Good to know. I have one that I took of my f30 and was planning on selling it. But now I don't think I will.

It's not 100% fitment but that may have just been due to a bad replica to begin with.

No worries, replica CF rear spoiler for our 2ers is coming out. I wouldn't do it if it's not a near perfect fit.

I have one being shipped from a Chinese supplier as we speak. Will post pics when I get it installed.
