mothers leather 2 in 1 conditioner, and 303 aerospace protectant

hi guys just wondering if its ok to use mothers 2 in 1 leather conditioner, and 303 aerospace protectant on my leather?

is it ok to use a combination of mothers first to condition and then let it completely dry, then spray on some 303 aerospace?

will it protect from scuffing? will it look forever like shiny? i did it in my black interior f30 last year and it seemed like the shine will never come off so i didnt do it to my new beige interior f30.

thank you

I don't use the 303 protectant on the leather, only on plastic parts.

Using Meguiar's Gold Class Leather cleaner & conditioner on the seats.
The leather doesn't shine too much, and it's not sticky after application.

I agree with 335i 4D...no to 303 but Mothers is fine. I find the key to leather is use ANY leather protectant/conditioner but use it one a month. Too many people neglect their leather and wonder why it goes downhill after a few years. Just a little TLC makes the difference.

I personally use Lexol cleaner and protectant. Once a year I do a good cleaning and monthly I give the leather a spray and a wipe. Only takes a few minutes.

There are tons of good leather products out there...pick one and use it! There are some really convenient wipes also...just grab one and wipe down your seats every month. Too easy!

dude im just really really nearvous about my punk assed friends throwing their feet around on the beige leather causing permanent damage or scuffing. I find the leathers dye comes off way too easily. So is the bmw f30 series leather treated with a leather glossifer/vinyl? If so, I heard I am able to apply the silicon based 303 on it?

I am not sure about the coating on the leather...sorry. I still wouldn't use the 303 on the leather. I have found any scuff marks come off the leather really easy...I got 2 kids so my leather gets a workout sometimes! Keep it conditioned and in good shape. If you get a scuff just give it a wipe. I think Meguires and Mother have a container of ready wipes for leather. It looks like a container of baby wipes...you pull out a wipe and it has the conditioner/cleaner on it and it is good to go. I say get some good leather stuff and not use the 303. 303 is great on vinyl and plastic but I wouldn't use it on leather.

I too have had a bad experience with 303 on leather. It left it shinny and stiffer. Cleaned it with leatherique and it bright back the feel and look. Now I only use their cleaner and conditioner for the leather.

I use the Meguier's gold class leather cleaner/conditioner and it works pretty well.

The only problem I have is that I normally wear dark jeans, and my driver's side seat is slightly darker than the other seats (leather is coral red). I tried being very generous with the cleaning solution, and the coloration still persists. I'd like to try baby wipes or some of the products that I use to clean my shoes but I've been lazy.

beware... i've replaced a seat already within a week because of the leather being scuffed by jeans so easily. Now i just sit on a towel and never had a problem since...
