Coding light distribution
I have some issues with coding the light distribution on my M235i with premium package (without HBA)
In the spreadsheet, it says coding C_AFS_ENA from nicht aktiv to aktiv. However, I don't have this option Same issue when I need to code LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y from 9C 9C B0 to 9C 9C 9C Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Thanks. I just done it and I have now the following settings after a restart of the car and Esys
View post on imgur.com View post on imgur.com I have done some test and it's working really great in the city. The beam is wider. However, I haven't seen any difference on the freeway. Should I do something more? Last edited by Oyinko; 07-18-2014 at 02:57 AM.. |

I ran into the same thing, my menu items were different than just "nicht_aktiv" and "aktiv".
Does the description matter any or is it really what the Werte says that's important? For example I changed the Werte from 00 to 01, but the description stayed as "F020inaktiv, F020disable, etc..." You can select from the drop down "F020enable" and it changes the Werte to 01 automatically, so I guess that's the same thing as changing form nicht_aktiv to aktiv. Same on the second part, you can change the Werte value or you can select "F020Codierwert mit AFS" and it changes the values to 9C, 9C, 9C automatically. |

Alternatively, an easier way to code the VLD and HBA is to remove 5AP and 8S4 from your FA and then VO code FEM_BODY and KAFAS2. All five entries in these two modules will automatically change to aktiv, but do go back and check if they are.
Also confirm HU_NBT => 3000 => HIGH_BEAM_ASSISTANT => aktiv KAFAS2 --> 3050 --> FLA_ON_OFF => aktiv |

Yes it will clear all your FEM_BODY coding but if the dealer ever update your software the VLD will still be on... if you FDL code it everything will go away...
just change the werte values... the description will update automatically once you save the file |

Anyone know if the headlights can still be adjusted per normal procedure with the light distribution coding? Or does it change how they should be adjusted?

Not sure... i would assume they adjust the same way with the engine off so the VLD doesn't kick in and then VLD on is going to be relative to when the VLD is off

with VLD turned on, the left headlamp is supposed to illuminate more to the left side of the car, right? because it turns to the left when the engine starts and only moves towards the center when highbeam is on or when the vehicle speed exceeds 30mph.

Are you guys definitely noticing the highway mode change at > 68MPH? I've been trying hard to notice it but I can't tell a difference at this point.
