My car is currently being built. I plan to do PCD and have OptiCOat Pro applied locally before driving it home. My concern is what condition will the paint be in after the normal "prep" done at the PCD. Anyone with scratches/swirls, etc upon delivery?

Your opticoat detailer will prep te car anyways so it doesnt matter

Thanks for the quick reply. He will charge more for a two stage correction vs. one stage before applying the opticoat.

I would just request them to not prep or wash it. Even then one wash probably wont kill you.

DanG: Thanks for the reply. It's good to know they didn't just run the car thru an automatic car wash & put a ton of swirls and scratches the paint.

That's good to know. I might do PCD for the M2 and was wondering how the PCD prep was. Dealers can be questionable at best in their prep especially with darker color cars.
