Looks pretty cool prob works like any other generic touch screen.

I recently installed the pioneer AVIC 8000 NEX in one of my cars (unfortunately not my BMW)

However, If I were to upgrade the BMW system, I'd install the 8000NEX, amp and JL Audio's Stealthbox for 3-series:
