Nice, but wouldn't it be a better camera angle if you were standing AT the finish line? I never got this, it seems like people ALWAYS line up/wait at the 'starting line', and they end up getting about 10 seconds of the cars' tail lights.....IDK

lol, I was in the BMW so I couldn't tell you. Would've been awesome at the finish line, something to think about for future runs.

Thanks for the comments =)

Must be pretty straightforward to find spots to hoon around at in AK i'd think? Not much in the way of traffic or cops unless i'm missing something.

That could be kinda dangerous no? Last place u wanna be is finishline if a car loses control etc.

Maybe set up a 2nd camera or go pro at end?

umm....I'm not sure about that....IMO, if a car were to lose control, it would typically be in the beginning to the middle part of the race, as they launch hard off the starting line (possible wheel spin and traction issues), and then through the gears during the middle of the race (rowing through 2-4 or even 5th gear). By the time they hit the last gear, they should already be well established as far as traction issues go?

To me, it's no more dangerous at the finish line versus the starting line. Because they're going to be riding that last gear all the way to the finish line, with no more shifting......

I could be totally off though......That's just my theory

There is no rhyme or reason to when a car might just spin out. Sure some spin out early but other high HP set ups can break traction at over 100MPH too...

As far as filming at the end, I agree with the comments. Street racing isn't safe to begin with, but the guy setting it up is about as safe as you can get, it's legit and the members in the group aren't retarded.

I'm in Anchorage which has a population of 300,000. It's like any other city with a lot of cops. This happens to be an industrial area, but normally it ends with a cop en route or breaking it up.

The coolest thing about this video is that every driver saved it. Not one wreck. Pretty impressive, especially at those speeds.

I'm only running the JB4 G5 map 3 at 15 psi. I'm not taking advantage of the RB's yet as I don't have the backend flash from BMS or Wedge yet. Once she's tuned with the backend I would expect 11.6-11.8 at 120+ .

Car is running great considering the tune and no backend. I covered this in another thread under the 1/4 mile thread. I'm happy with my results. It'll be a beast once she's tuned.

Oh, and this is only on 90 octane with meth. That's all we get in Alaska is 90 octane which is a piss poor excuse for premium.

Yea, once you get the tune set you will for sure be in the mid 11's. I ran a 12.1 at 115mph with no meth, stock turbos, and an off the shelf map in my xdrive. Looking forward to the vids with the backend flash.

Yeah but they wouldn't have been able to save that on regular street normal size tires. The rear tires are so big and sticky when they correct at that speed it actually works. The grip of those tires are saving them from that snap back oversteer that would have any of our cars going around 4 times over at those speeds.
