Wish BMW offered something like this. Even if it were exclusive like individual colors. Looks like Nissan (and I am sure others) are testing the public feelings on it.

That's pretty awesome in theory. I wonder how it would stack up in the real world with dirt and other road grime. Current polishes/waxes will probably not work with this kind of finish, similar to the frozen matte paints (but for different reasons).

There will be issues I am sure. Who knows how tree sap or rocks will take it's toll. I do however love the idea and think it's about time someone makes a major play in this area. Good for Nissan.

Very cool - likely it is flat in color for to allow this texture to do its thing, so will be curious to see if they can create it with a shine/luster - tip of the iceberg in whats to come I suspect with self-healing compounds etc. etc.
