Any recall issues or updates required at 1200 mile service?

I remember reading about a couple of issues that needed rectifying on a thread a few weeks ago but can't find the thread. My car is going in on Thursaday and I just want to ensure that all work/updates are completed.

If you have had your 1200 mile service could you post up what additional work was carried out or if you know what the recall issues were/ what sofware needed updating I would appreciate your input!

Thanks.

I think there is already a campaign for the CF strut brace and a couple of other things.

I'm sure I read somewhere that there was a recall for the hose clamp and strut-not sure if this was done on my car at the factory ( build week 23) or whether these fixes were identified after my car had been built.

The way the service manager explain it to me is that car is not running full HP until is not deactivated for pre delivery. After your 1st oil change the car is at is full potential. I did not feel much of a change maybe more responsive but I also changed a filter so it can breath better.

I know they restrict the car when it's in transit to the dealer before delivery but before you take collection of the car it is running at full hp .

I believe they just activate launch control at the 1200 mile service.

I have a 6mt, and there is nothing to activate. Everything is there from the get go. No speed limiter as well! 267km/h on the autobahn and no cut off.

Are you saying it would have kept going at 267 or that was as fast as it could go? I believe the limiter on F80 is around this point- without a limiter it would be closer to 290.

That's not correct IMO. If it is, holy crap this car will be fast if they give it more power

Yes, the car could have kept on going if there was no traffic. Other members from the Canadian BMW ED Tour can confirm that they went past 260km/h as well.
Now, at these speeds I'm not sure how accurate the speedo is without say a GPS verification. But 267km/h is equal to 165mph.

This is normal for the M3. My old E90 M3s limiter cut in around 165mph. ( speedo) as well. I thought you meant there was no limiter at all! F80 limiter is around 270kph.

I was told there was a software update regarding the odb2 control unit. When I went to pickup my car it turns out they said they don't have the update from BMW yet so they can't do it until my first oil change.
