We looked at the prices for replacing tweeters, midranges, and under seat woofers, and the price was pretty high compared to say a Jehnert Flatline kit. it's not a cheaper alternative to some of the other options that fit our cars without modding that have excellent sound quality. just curious what the big deal is when there are better options that cost less.

You can find them dirt cheap on eBay or at LKQ junkyards.

i should have clarified. I meant that online pricing for new Dirac speakers doesn't make sense to me when new alternatives that sound on par or better are cheaper than Dirac. obviously you can get better prices for anything if they're used on a forum or eBay.

I do not think that anybody here is talking about new OEM speakers... they will be always much more expensive than the cheapest aftermarket equivalent.

well, the way it was touted in another thread was as if these are on par with high end aftermarket speakers. some people reading that may get the wrong idea.

I do think that they are on par, indeed. I consider the Individual Audio OEM mids/tweeters as nice sounding as the Morel Hybrid with aftermarket amps, just because I used to have both.
