Should a 58 plate e93 have-

Hi all-should the above bmw have a foam sheet under the bonnet to deaden the engine sound?-my e46 did -mine is a 320i-thanks

They stopped putting it under the hood in 2009 I think? Correct me if I'm wrong on the year.

Kind of a lame cost cutting move in my opinion.
