Deal on Trolley Jack and Stands
Just an FYI for anyone that's interested. I was just at Home Depot and stumbled upon a husky low profile trolley jack with two stands for $25. Seemed like a solid deal - thought id share.

I bought a set two weeks ago to use on my son's IS300. It is high, it would not fit under the front bumper (to reach the front center jack area.) Therefore we return it. I am guessing it would not go in the front on my e92 either. Do yourself a favor and buy the Costco hybrid (steel & aluminum) low profile hydraulic jack for ~$100. It is high quality and you only invest once. I am guessing if you get the HD trolley, you'll be on the market for another hydraulic jack in a year or two.
If you only need jack stands, HD also has a pair of jack stands (we got them to work on the IS300) |

Trolley jack. With my e90 id probably raise the car on each side and lower it on some 2x8 then use the center jack. The trolley is not very low.

Since we are on the topic of lifting cars. Yesterday I got a pair of jack stand rubber pads at harbor freight for $7.99. They fit perfectly on the HD Husky jack stands. Plus you get your choice of a measuring tape, tarp, or led work light free. Basically the cost of the rubber pads is ~$3.
