Got a 428 coupe loaner

Impressions- it's peppy, but it's no 435.

Those air ducts on the side of the front fenders belong on a Corvette, and not a BMW.

My favorite feature of this new coupe is the cupholders right in front of the ashtray... genius!

Oh, and maybe the body lines along the side of the body, and the mirrors.

Hows it feel compared to ur 335? I'm thinking of holding out a bit longer for this or a e92 335

I don't why they did what they did to the looks of every model, such a shame...that front was bad enough, but the back of the coupe is worse than the sedan...

How was the steering? Did u feel that the new electric steering system was a step down, higher or the same compared to the previous hydraulic system?

You know what bro I actually didn't even notice. About the same maybe?

I'll have to pay more attention next time I take it out later on this morning.

Of course I'm coming from a 2011 335 with full M sport package, M3 bushings, rear sway bar, and upgraded monoball control arms

Forget about 335, I didn't enjoy f30 328 loaner as compared to my 328 with base suspension.
The engine sounds v cheap. My lancer I-4 sounded much better than this.
I think for people like us who dont like the steering, BMW made M235 :-).

Yep I noticed that taking it out on the interstate for an errand. Honestly it's not that bad, I could take either one.

i've only driven the F30 but I found the steering to be lacking in feedback. Very accurate and quick lock to lock, but no sense of what's going on beneath you.

Those fake aero-slats on the fenders BMW NO

To their credit, they are actually functional and vent the engine compartment and reduce drag. Doesn't stop them from being hideous tough.

Hmm OK they get one brownie point back. They're so F'ing garish though. I expect to see that on a Camaro or something.

Am I imagining things, or did they pump the engine sound through the speakers on this coupe?

Otherwise it sounds nice and throaty at WOT, for a 4 banger.

The touchpad on the iDrive is a cute little feature too.

That's why I'm wondering how VW did it on the new GTI (steering is rated favorably)....finally a "new" car that drivers can enjoy again...

I got myself a 428i loaner as well last round of service.

I was impressed with the peppiness of the 4cyl engine compared to the old straight 6 non-turbo.

Still... it just doesn't feel as solid or as fun to drive as the e9x.

Yes they did. Grab copy of the latest Car And Driver (August 2014). BMW M4 vs Porsch 911. Page 48. Kinda cheesy if you ask me. I know you didn't get an M4 loaner but I believe I read somewhere else, all of the 4 series has this "feature".
