06 pre-LCI E91 flash light to USB conversion question

Hi guys,

Down to my last few components to order for my retrofit. Doing a ccc to cic with combox, also adding snap-in and console aux/usb at the same time.

Question I have is in regards to my glovebox. My cic will add a usb in my glovebox. My 06 e91 doesn't have a USB port or empty blanking plate for one.

I do have a oem flash light in the glove box, and I've noticed 07 + models seem to have a USB in this location.

Anyone know what I can order to replace my flash light with an OEM mounting plate for the glove box usb?

hi there, I know they used to sell a conversion to usb and bmw penlight, but I think they stopped selling them.

when I did mine I just cut a piece out of the glove box so I retained my light and added the usb socket.

Okay thanks for the reply. I was hoping to make it look oem as possible but sounds like my only option. Even on realoem i wasnt able to find the usb panel.

^^ good job! Thanks! 1 of those usb part numbers exists on ecs tuning. .22$ so i may as well try it out. Even found a slim flash light on ebay that should fit
