Newby Here. . .

I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself to the group. I recently acquired (three months ago) a low mileage 2012 328i coupe, which at the time of the purchase, was completely stock. As you can see from my signature below, I've been a busy boy!

When I first concluded a BMW was my target car (with the short list consisting of BMW, Mercedes, and Audi), I had my sights set on a 335i coupe. Prior to this purchase I drove a 2007 Mercedes C230 Sport and a 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata. The Mercedes was totaled in a car accident (no injuries) and after five years of driving and heavily modding a turbocharged Miata, it was time to part company, as it had served its purpose well. After much soul searching, researching, and test driving, I decided against a 335i and opted for a N/A BMW. Nothing against the 335i mind you, as it just came down to a personal choice for me in the form of self-imposed restraint, as there are way too many horsepower goodies available for that car.

I am not trying to replicate a 335i with my mods but rather just trying to make the car better suited for my driving style and personality. I love driving this car and I am thoroughly enjoying it. The ESS super charger is not in the cards for me, I've contemplated the three-stage intake manifold but I'm leaning against doing it (a stiff breeze could lean me the other way though), and I'm deciding if I want to invest in either an AA or ESS reflash. ESS is local to me so right now they have an edge over AA.
