Jack Pad installation

This sounds really stupid and i hate to ask, but is there a trick to installing new jack pads or points on our cars. i purchased the ones in the link below for my 07 e92, but they dont just pop in there like i saw in the youtube video. Just wanna check before i force them too hard.

Thanks,

Jeremy

You need to slide a butter knife like tool (but shorter so it fits in the small space you have to work with) at the ends and press in the clips while pulling down, it took me hours to remove 1, then about 10 seconds to remove the other 3.

A small flathead screwdriver should work too

You don't need any brute force whatsoever, its easy once you have the technique down.

So slide the flathead in press firmly to push the clip release, then on that corner pull down and it should swing out and off.

He asked about install not removal

I haven't done one but I assume it would be the reverse.

So easy to install them. All you gotta do is --------------- then make sure the pads ----------- once you do that. You're done.

Can't you just align the pad with the location that it goes into on the car, then start jacking up the car with a floor jack, and the weight of the car should compress the pad into the location? That's what I would do

But first make sure the clips are in the slots. Otherwise the jack pad clips will brake.

Taking them out was a pita. But putting them in was easy, they simply snap in.

Hence why I said align the pad with the location...... in other words.... put the clips in the slots.
