Coolant Expansion Tank

Pulled out of the garage this morning for work and noticed a blue puddle of coolant on the ground and a yellow low coolant message on the dash. I opened the hood and noticed that the bleed screw looked like it overflowed as well as in the seams of the expansion tank.

I put in a new starter last Saturday and noticed a small drip from the bleed screw but didn't think anything of it really. Anyone have any guesses on what happened? Last coolant flush I did was in October '13 so everything was fresh and full then. No issues other than this morning. Do I need a new bleed screw or a whole expansion tank?

start with changing the bleeder screw, it has an oring that might be compromised.

Mine leaked at the seams on the side.. any chance yours is leaking by that connection with the hose?

First turn loosening the bleeder screw and the head snaps off the threads leaving most of the screw in the expansion tank. There definitely some weakening/fatiguing causing the leak. Since I can't get the rest of the screw out, I just got back from the dealer with a new expansion tank, cap, and coolant. I guess I have plans for the afternoon now...

thanks for your help
