Installing a sub does not solve all problems despite popular belief that it does. Read the audio build sticky http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641323 |

by installing the sub you will get low frequencies to produce bass. but it wont solve the high frequency which is the main reason why the base system sounds rubbish. you could buy tweeters and connect them to the original speakers or better you could upgrade to a aftermarket speakers.

This is a good system to fix a base system

Its quality stuff its made to fit and it solves the eq problem of the base stereo system. http://www.monsteraudiodesign.co.uk/...one-120-4-dsp/ Replacing speakers in a system that doesn't have adequate power won't help and could even make things worse especially if you add a tweeter to the base stereo system. ^ the extreme is more expensive than the original 201... And then you have a similar set from mb quart. Add the sub and see if you like it. If so problem solved and if the highs are lacking swap out the tweeters. I would recommend the technics harness! Pm technic on here.
