Will have to see what the new quarter brings. Just found out my 3 month old 335d is in positive equity if I wanted to change up to a 4 series cab! |

Cool, just had a look, used to be so useful this.
Seems all APR's are set to 4.9%.....tinkering still going on in the background me thinks.

Blimey, even the M3 is 4.9%, thought that was higher a few weeks ago.

I think the offer is actually 7.1 currently i.e rip off. I've got a 6.1 which is just about ok. Defnitely wavering back to the M235 for 2 years then the M2, aghh!

That's where the smart money would go certainly. There are shedloads of M235i's in stock at dealers now (new and demo's) so there are most definitely very good deals to be done. Ours has got a lovely M Performance'd one in white that keeps catching my eye.

Think I'd certainly be interested in an M235i convertible!
Only problem is the rear space. Not too concerned about the boot size. Anybody know how the rear compares to the 3er? And how much of a PITA is a baby seat in the back of a 3 door car? No kids yet, but something I need to think about in the next 2-3 years. |

I think the M4 dream is diminishing. Its awesome but I actual have some concerns about how useful that much performance is on uk roads For my test drive I kept it legal on the dual carriageways as the sales guy was with me, 1,2 or maybe 3 seconds of whoosh and you have to back off. Hmmm decision decisions. It handled like no other BMW I've driven though, really no need to ever slow down for corners

Of course, as said, give it another 18 months and things will be different. I think the M2 will make life considerably harder for the M3 and M4. I predict in same way we're posting up about getting an M5 for same money as an M3 with the offers, we'll be saying how you can get an M3 with discounts for pretty much same as newly launched M2

Dont forget the M235i is not a true M car though (although has a few bits changed from the standard one series?).
But for the money, you cant go wrong really as it'll still handle pretty good as its lighter

Completely realise that Andy but it would suffice until M2 comes out/M4 discounts arrive. Buy with big enough discount and don't think you'd have problems swapping in 18 months.

Even with my 330, swapping it out this year or next I won't be impacted. I still believe the M2 will be the main seller for M cars if priced correctly. Just think one day an M hatch |

I got my settlement figure through the other day, 35k outstanding. Second hand similar spec ones to mine are going for between 36-38k on AT? |

48k list, 38k after discounting. I put a 5k deposit in and was told I'd have about 2k equity - I'm not including the deposit I put in of course - that was obviously lost as soon as I bought the car, but in terms of paying the settlement (about 31.5k) I'd have some money left over. They are selling similarly specc'd 335d to mine (similar age and mileage) for circa 37-38k on AUC

Mines 6 months old now but if a deal can be done for a 435i/d id be all over it. I had a quick look on we buy any car (knowing the offer is always a joke) and it came out at 25k lol. I'd imagine bmw would offer around that, maybe a little higher? |
