06 e90 refresh
I am original owner of my 06 325i. 206k miles and all stock. I've always planned to drive it 250k so I'll have it a couple more years. It's in good shape and all service on schedule. I want to refresh it a bit. It's been paid off years ago so I don't mind putting a few bucks in it. I'm thinking wheels, eibach springs and a chip. I'm just trying to give it a facelift and get some "fun" out of it. I'm 49 so not trying to make a stance statement or anything crazy, just better handling and a little better performance and look. Any ideas, crazy to spend any money on it or better suggestions? Thanks

you can do an lci conversion changing front bumper, grille, headlights, hood, trunk and tailights. tha'll make it look like a new car. you can get coilovers to drop it or springs depending on what youre looking for wheels are plenty depends on what look your going for and how much you wanna spend and AA tune or BMS powerbox for better performance. dont expect much more performance from a non turbo engine. good luck

You can go all out performance wise and go 3 stage intake manifold paired with a tune, you can add a performance muffler to give it some sound too. I added PE and the eurobox to my car and I think it sounds pretty good. Cosmetically black kidneys and mtech will look really good

Assuming you're up on all needed maintenance I'd suggest wheels and lowering springs. I don't think a 200k mile car would benefit from exhaust or tuning if you're just trying to make it look "fresh"

Yes, I'm up on all maintenance. I have a friend with style 42 8x17 w almost new Hankook rubber for a good price. Maybe 12mm spacers in back. Eibach springs for handling. Thought maybe a chip for some better low end torque and hp. I don't want to spend a ton, just want look a bit better and get some fun over its last couple years.

Are your shocks still stock? If so you will definitely need new ones especially if you plan on adding lowering springs. Plan on new shock mounts/spring pads /etc

Still on the original shocks although I can't believe it. I was assuming shocks would probably be required. Don't think coil overs are necessary, just a shock/spring set up should do it? I got the car June of 05 so can't be worth >5k I'd think so not worth lots of mods. Probably give it to my son next year as his first car so this seems like things he'd like.
