Dealers!
Had my car into the local dealer today to do a very simple warranty task - the passenger side door seal had worn through and split. Simple enough job, yet they did not manage to get it back together correctly. Seal not even remotely seated correctly, tucked under the wrong bits, and generally a complete and utter mess. I cannot imagine how they thought the job they did was acceptable! All they had to do was look at the other side of the car to see how it is supposed to be. And a grubby handprint on the windshield trim to boot.
And the really annoying thing is that this is the SECOND time - they did the driver's side just as badly a couple years ago. In both cases, took me all of 5 minutes to sort it out, but why could they not take the 5 minutes?! They had better hope I don't get a survey on this one! I complained last time that it wasn't done correctly, but it's easier for me to just fix it myself than to go over there.

Did you look at it before you left? Always check any cosmetic fixes when you pick it up to make sure it's done to your satisfaction. If not make them correct it on the spot.
You should email the GM and Service Manager and let them know about the improper job. Especially on basic stuff like this. |

Exactly why I would never pay to have something like this done! I would have preferred that they just give me the warranty part and I put it on myself.
