Best car I've owned!

First time bmw owner but absolutely love my 335d all the car you'd ever need apart from the noise and not being a convertible.

Getting 35 Mpg out of it, and absolutely destroyed several hot hatches like focus RS, golf R, new subaru sti's.

Just great overall package.

Oh absolutely they'd be no contest, I'm just impressed leaving a 340 focus RS. I could spend less on the D and it would still be quicker than a 440Bhp RS, by just adding an ecotune hybrid big turbo to 430 BHP and IC but that's going to far plus I reckon you'd need a gaiken diff.

Msport suspension is hard in some circumstances though!

With a 60bhp deficit I'd say the Focus driver was either shite, or not trying

Garage List
60bhp yes but what about the torque. That's what makes the difference from a roll.

oh the memories,

I remember once i had my 335d remapped at evolve, blistering performance and all from a diesel lol, it really wound people up when they realised they struggled with a diesel including my cousin with his 2008 S5, he could not keep up no matter what

very powerful car indeed especially 60mph onwards.

Seeing threads like these just makes me wish i'd got a 335D instead of the puny 320D.

A 320D is still a great 4 pot diesel mate even when tuned/remapped, i should have really got a 330D remapped.

It isnt just about the acceleration, its a good overall car looks, mpg, performance, comfort, reliability - love it.

In a few years I'll actually probably get a f30 335d as they are even better peformance and MPG and xdrive (4WD)

Just makes me want to get my 335D remapped.. but can't decide between:

- JBD
- EcoTune
- Emaps
- BW Chiptune
- Evolve

Would like a before and after Dyno too..

I would also go as far as to say my 320d slug machine is the best car i've owned.
Not had a sausage wrong with it.

Same goes for the other 2 bmw's in the family. A 325d and 335d both faultless

Love my 335D too, especially now with Öhlins

Just needs an LSD now. And M3 suspension arms. And M3 SF bushes. And remap...dpf delete...egr delete...meth...

But a stock 335D is is one hell of a car.
