IND Painted Rear Reflector Installation

In a effort to bring a clean look to the rear bumper we now offer body color painted OEM rear reflectors. All reflectors utilize an OEM core for 100% factory fitment.

Recommended tools:
Nylon prybar
Bondo spreader (optional)
Painters tape

Step 1:

The first step is to protect the paint around the reflector. We recommend framing the entire reflector in the event you need to apply a little more leverage at multiple points.

Step 2:

The reflectors is removed from the inside out. Using the nylon prybar position the tool in the edge between the paint and rear reflector. Use the leverage to get the inside edge of the reflector out.

Step 3:

Now that the front edge is removed you may use the bondo spreader or prybar to work your way from the inside to the outside edge.

Step 4:

Now that the reflector is removed it is time to install the painted piece. Installation is the reverse of removal so insert the outside edge of the reflector into the outer most hole.

Step 5:

Maintaining the orientation of the clips position the middle and inner most tab and apply pressure to install.

Enjoy!

I agree the coated canister would look great, but the tips in this case are more of a temporary solution. The Eisenmann canister will have a lower profile and also have the option for ceramic or powder coated canister.

Sorry for the bump, but I didn't see where else to post this. I went to install my rear painted reflectors last night and they both seem to bow out quite a bit vs the factory reflectors. It's not significant but it is fairly noticeable. Anyone else have this issue or a solution to it?

Yes I realize that however the OEMs didn't seem to bow as much as the painted ones. I'll check again tonight. Thanks.

fair enough, mine look about the same as OEM. When I had the guys at ACM west install it, Alex even showed me one side installed vs stock, definitely look the same IMO...
