Car is 1.5 years, mileage is 6K
Waaaay low mileage car, I know, my November 2012 build 2013 335 MSport is a garage queen. Anyone else with a completely babied F30 like mine? Have you performed any service outside of the CBS to keep her happy?

1 year with 3,500 miles but I bought it with 2,800 about a month ago. The previous owner had back surgery and couldn't drive it for months as it's a 6-speed. I'll be sure to make up for the lack of miles in no time.

BMW will give you a free oil change once every 12 months or when indicator says so.
Interestingly enough, both our BMWs had not met the oil change interval after a year but were very close, like within 2k miles. Had the oil changed under the yearly change clause and now just a couple months later I could have them both changed again. I'm holding off though to really get the most out of the oil change intervals. But other than the oil I don't think there is anything that needs to be done on your low mile ride. Brake fluid and pads will have plenty of life still. |

In the USA you get an oil change every year but you have to ask for it specifically. I think there is one caveat to that, and it's very low miles. If you do under 5k (I can't remember the exact cutoff) a year then they may refuse the yearly change.
You are right though, the average change interval is usually around 15k for 2013 models. |

I recently had the low mileage oil service done. It's a good idea to bring it in for the annual oil change just in case there are other service bulletins to be performed.

Sounds like neglect... Only 6,000 miles in 1.5 years? You need to spend more time with your baby and stop leaving it in the crib. I always do oil changes every 10K, and I plan to get my first oil change in my 435i (now has 1,500 miles in 7 days ) at the 4,000 mile mark.

Took delivery in early July and have 3000 miles on it now. I average about 15,000-21,000 miles per year. I don't see the point in keeping her garaged. A BMW is meant to be driven.

This isn't an exotic car or anything - it's meant to be driven. I put 5500 miles, 3 months in (although my commute is 10 miles, the car has been on 2 trips back and forth from michigan to NJ, and up to NYC. So about 3000 miles from just trips).

Owned my car for about 18 months, at about 9800 miles. I live close to work and generally try to drive as much as I can.

Agreed. I make excuses all the time to drive, e.g. Bread is 10 cents cheaper in X city 150 miles away, must drive there instead. Just under 3 months of ownership I have 10,000 miles. Love this car.

My babe had 31,600 miles on our 1st anniversary (October 5th).
I've loved every one of them though. Should slow down this next year as my traveling distance will be reduced. |
