Tachometer messed up help would be greatly appreciated!
So in the tachometer there is the red line that will increase or decrease based upon the temperature of the engine I remember this from my 2004 e60 545i. However now on my 2007 e92 328xi it seems to no longer function at all (No new warning lights signifying something has malfunctioned). If you are still not sure what I am talking about it is the yellow orange lines before the redline zone (just before 7,000 rpm). I no longer have a warranty from BMW as it has expired so I would prefer to fix it myself if possible before taking it to the dealer to have it fixed. It would be great if someone knows what is wrong and even better if it is a simple fix!
