Finishing off the NBT for my E92 :)

Just need to connect the microphone(My car doesn't even have a microphone connector in the roof console... so I have to make one my own and connect it to the back of the headunit....) and rewire the AUX from the centre console to the back of the head unit as the original wiring goes to the MULF module in the boot(not worth to take off all the carpets just for the AUX cable)
Anyway, I quite like it, no need for combox anymore as the combox already integrated in the headunit, used to pay 200 pound just let some people get all the wiring sorted for the combox

I bought the entire kit from bimmerretrofit.com(as I am not sure about the quality of those eBay NBT headunits and also need coding) and also bought the custom made screen
So screen+hu+emulator is around 1475GBP include shipping, since the emulator is already 270GBP ish and i suppose the screen worth about 200, and they offered very detailed instruction and support, I know the price is 10%-20% more than the total cost if you source everything yourself but it definitely get rid off the all the hassles and come with warranty.
I used to spent 1200GBP just for a CIC headunit and screen in my dash(from no dash) without combox and etc just because I was afraid of touching those electronic stuff in the car also I don't know too many people in this country as I am just a international student in the uni...anyway, seems like the NBT is the best solution if you don't have a combox yet and you can't find a cheap labor to do all the wirings under the carpet also coding.

Actually BMW didn't step up so much from E9X to F3X compare to from E46 to E9X, just look at 435i and 335i lci, the drive train is completely the same if you got a 7 speed DCT, and personally I think some cars like E90 LCI even looks better than the F30 so does the X5, some F platform cars looks just out of portion....

Has the same function if you have a CIC headunit and a combox, but the NBT has combox integrated so you don't need to spend extra time and money on combox anymore also you got a better interface with some 3D animations, that's it :P

Certainly, and not very hard to install at all, apart from the armrest USB! I have to take off both front and rear centre console(front won't come out if you don't take off the rear)to just put the USB cable underneath!!!

Thanks. I defo paid more than that just to have emulator and 270GB is very good price.

Few questions if you do not mind answering
1- Do you have 6NR (BMW applications) enabled on your NBT?
2- Is your emulator locked to the first car after using it first time? Apparently, it has happened with my emulator and when I switched my car, emulator did not work and I had to send it back to get it reset and to be used in my E91. Still waiting for it

Bmw online has to be purchased and activated by them but it's fairly cheap, around 50GBP I think, can't remember exactly(I haven't sort out the USB connection yet, the charging status keeps blinking, so I ordered another USB cable from BMW and today I spent 30mins to remove the carpet and get that long USB cable which was connected to the MULF and I shave the connector and try my luck and it burned two of my iphone cables...don't know what happend )

I didn't ask them is it able to swap the emulator and head unit to another car but if they can do it for your car then they can definitely recode it for other cars, not sure is there going to be any extra charges

Also there is a USB port on the emulator, so you can connect the emulator to your PC and get it remote coded by guys in Canada
