Key Fob Range!

Hey everyone, ever since I got my 07' 335i e90 I noticed how the key fob range sucked terribly. My moms Nissan has more range than me lol. I tested it out and saw that it only works up to 10 feet.. How's your range on your key fobs? Just wanted to see if everyone's sucks or just mine haha

Touching your head or chin while pressing the buttons will give you a bit more range 10-20 feet

Also while doing this face due North and hold your right arm at a 45 degree angle for 5-7 more feet of range.

Touching you head with the fob while pressing actually does work

My range is awful. I checked the battery with one of those auto zone things said it was fine.

Sad life. I love the BMW key fob, I don't want to get an aftermarket one for more range either cause the BMW one is so much more appealing to the eye guess I'll just leave it alone

OP, I think he was joking about the aftermarket ones.

My range is terrible too. I've tried holding the key to head method, but it doesn't really make a difference :/

This is interesting but not sure if it would work on the BMW key fob.

I wouldn't suggest it, but to each his own... my range is probably 25-30ft, I don't have CA. The fobs cost too much to open and solder a chunk of wire to. If you wear one of these though, you'll triple your range.
