Thoughts on this Jack + stand kit?

From Autozone - seems super cheap for everything it comes with and the jack + stands are all rated at 2 tons.

Any reason not to buy this kit?
I don't honestly care for the creeper but it's a package deal.

Looks like a rebranded version of my Big Red 2 ton kit.

On sport suspension its hard to get the jack under the car to reach the jack point under the engine, you need to drive on ramps or something to add some clearance. The jack can barely lift the car so to put the stands along the side skirts on their lowest settings, but I've never tried to add max lift with a block on the jack. The jack is okay for raising the car at the jack adapters along the side skirts for a tire change. Its okay for beginners but I am definitely planning to get a more capable and powerful replacement.

I just need to, at most, lift one side of the car. I don't have any need to ever lift the car completely off the ground.

I'm doing some prep / paint work on the calipers and I intend to only do one side at a time. Just need to get the wheels off and keep it raised while I work on it.

Thanks for the info though.

My buddy bought the same kit. Thing works like a charm. A jack is one thing, but always make sure to have decent stands, your life depends on them in most cases. The craftsman ones seem strong, and we've been using them for awhile.

Get the Husky 3 Ton Jack Stand from Home Depot well build and only $24.99. Do you want a high quality jack? get the low profile from Costco. It fits nicely under the e92 front bumper.

I have that one and it works great, they're down to $99-119 NEW worth every penny.

I just bought Ramps, Got sick of jacking my car for just an Oil Change.
Majority of the times, I don't need a Jack, I just need Clearance.

But the Price is good for the kit.
What did you pay for the Craftsman kit?

+1 on the ramps, but they make wheel changes a B**ch.
It's strange with jacks, the "you get what you pay for" theory doesn't seem to apply.

I hate ramps.

A good lo pro jack, wheel chocks and jack stands is all you need to do everything.
