Blew my speaker, HELP!

Hey everyone, I was driving to school and my idiot friend blasted his music while I was driving. The right center speaker on the door blew and now it's making a nasty noise so I can't play music unless I change the balance all the way to the left. Anyone selling their speaker or know where I can get one for cheap?

You have to figure out which stock system you have. Since you have tweeters it is either logic 7 or hifi. If you have a center channel you have logic 7.

I have Logic 7's. I just need to replace that speaker though.. Should I get OEM or after market?

lol my same one blew a few weeks ago listen to boyz to men- end of road...now end of road sounds like crap...fml

Unless you plan to upgrade all speakers, no point going with aftermarket. See if you can find an OEM single speaker for your front door. If not, get some BSW sound stage just for both the front doors. Sticky thread in this forum has more info on speakers that can be driven using stock amplifier.

Some would argue it sounded like crap before the speaker blew...

Why not use this opportunity to replace both of the 4" midrange speakers and get better sound? Check Kai's excellent list of replacement speakers. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, the Rainbow MR100s are very inexpensive and Technic sells adapter rings. PM Don (6spdcoupe) as he can hook you up with the MR100s. Total cost should be less than $150. If you can spend a little more, consider the MB Quart kit from BestBuy for $500. That replaces all 6 front speakers.
